About Stonyeagle.com

I'm An average American who wants a better America left for our children to live in and prosper. I'm a Republican but that is not what matters. We're all Americans who should be practicing Republicanism.
Republicanism is the value system of governance that has been a major part of American civic thought since the American Revolution. It stresses liberty and rights as central values, makes the people as a whole sovereign, rejects inherited political power, expects citizens to be independent in their performance of civic duties, and is strongly inclined against corruption. American Republicanism was founded and first practiced by the Founding Fathers in the 18th century.

Stonyeagle.com is devoted to the free exchange of ideas through writing. Our devotion to freedom of the press comes from the legacy of American speech protection, the most popular citation of which is the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which says that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

While we will attempt not to push a political agenda, some of our readers will undoubtedly perceive a bias good or bad.  The idea behind stonyeagle.com is to try and express my personal observations on a wide range of subjects and to reflect on daily thoughts from life.

At stonyeagle.com, we strive to keep true the words of Thomas Jefferson: that truth is great and will prevail if left to herself, that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them.

BORING BUT USEFUL DISCLAIMER:
My posts on Google Buzz, Facebook, Friendfeed, Twitter, and any other place are my blatherings -- mine mine mine! -- and don't necessarily reflect those of my employer, my mom, my wife, etc.

MORE INTERESTING NON-DISCLAIMERS:
I tend to shy away from posting tweets because I find the service to be awfully painful for conversations. Instead, you can typically find me replying to stuff quite happily on Facebook or on my own blog. Now for the really mundane bio.
