  I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE I HAD A FIRM GRASP ON THE SITUATION.

Barak Obama meets with the Queen of England. He asks her, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips you can give to me?"

  "Well," says the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."

  Obama frowns, then asked, "But how do I know the people around me are really intelligent?"

  The Queen takes a sip of tea. "Oh, that's easy, you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle." The Queen pushes a button on her intercom. "Please send Tony Blair in here, would you?"

  Tony Blair walks into the room and says, "Yes, my Queen?"

  The Queen smiles and says, "Answer me this please, Tony ~ ~ ~ Your mother and father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not your sister . . . Who is it?"

  Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answers, "That would be me."

  "Yes! Very good," says the Queen.

  Obama goes back home to ask Joe Biden, his vice presidential choice the same question ~ ~ ~ "Joe, answer this for me. Your mother and your father have a child. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?"

  "I'm not sure," says Biden. "Let me get back to you on that one." He goes to his advisors and asks every one, but none can give him an answer. Finally, he ends up in the men's room and recognizes Colin Powell's shoes in the next stall.

  Biden asks Powell, "Colin, can you answer this for me? Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

  Colin Powell yells back, "That's easy ~ It's me!"

  Biden smiles, and says, "Thanks!"

  Then, he goes back to speak with Obama. "Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle.   It is Colin Powell!"

  Obama gets up, stomps over to Biden, and angrily yells into his face, "No, you idiot! . . . It's Tony Blair!"

It occurred to me while reading and listening to all the debate this fall about the healthcare bill that We the People would not have the right to free speech had it not been for our founding fathers writing the constitution and the First Amendment. We must also not forget the sacrifices that American soldiers have given since than in the name of freedom as well.

The first Amendment reads as follows.

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Let's fast forward 218 years. We the people are peaceably assembling and using our first Amendment rights to free speech in town hall meetings throughout the country to show our displeasure with our elected represenatives over the healthcare bill, and other grievances.

On Tuesday, August 04, 2009 at 6:55 A.M., America changed forever.

For it was at that time a post was added to the White House Blog which asks Americans to return to the days of McCarthyism.

However; staying true to his campaign slogan to bring “Change to America”, President Obama is asking you to snitch on your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and complete strangers – not for being “Red”, but for being Blue – as in a true-blue American exercising your right to free speech and dissent.

Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to “uncover” the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions…

…There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

I would like to remind our president that our founding fathers and later generations  have fought and sacrificied lives so that you Mr. President and We the People of America may have the right to free speech.

I find it repulsive and repugnant that you would disgrace America's fallen hero's.

After writing my last column on what politicians resemble, it dawned on me that all the problems that politicians have are related to education. Instead of spending billions on education and allowing those in government and the teachers union to influence how and what our kids learn. We need to step back as a nation and allow us the parents and the teachers on the front lines to decide what is in the best interest of our kids.

We the people of America need to do a better job of teaching common sense, and the history of the constitution and our founding fathers and we'll develop better educated politicians.

As I was reading through my political rss feeds and than perusing through friendfeed it occurred to me that politicians are supposed to be better educated, have gone too college and be likeable. But our current politicians are anything but that.

Here is a list of things that I've noticed most politicians do that contradict the theory that they are supposed to be educated.

1. They don't read anything that they or there colleagues write. If they don't read how in hell did they get through school?

2. They don't listen to anything that their constiuents have to say. Once again if they don't have the patience or the ability to listen how did they get through school.

3. They don't know the first thing about math. Politicians seem to think that money is printed over in China and is free to spend.

These are just three that I was able to come up with off the top of my head, I'm curious what you're able to come up with. Let me know.

Please take 5 minutes and read what is in the healthcare bill.  We are all (regardless of your age) in huge trouble if this passes.....wake up America".  Write to Your Representative now, and tell them to vote against the Health Care Bill.  And, tell them that if they don't vote against the bill you will contact all your friends in their district to tell their friends not to vote to re-elect them.  

Pg 22 of the HC Bill MANDATES the Government will audit books of ALL EMPLOYERS that self insure!!

Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill - THERE WILL BE A GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get

Pg 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill - YOUR HEALTHCARE IS RATIONED!!!

Pg 42 of HC Bill - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose YOUR HC Benefits for you. You have no choice!

PG 50 Section 152 in HC bill - HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise

Pg 58HC Bill - Government will have real-time access to individuals finances & a National ID Health card will be issued!

Additionally, as it has been reported in the smaller news media outlets, the Senate version (not described above) will exempt members of Congress from having to join the Health Care Program.   It must not be good enough and too restrictive for them.

In the mail today I received a questionnaire from the Republican party asking me where I stand on Obama's policies. At the end of the questionnaire they asked me for a contribution. Instead of providing a contribution I wrote a letter to Michael Steele and the Republican party.

I'll summarize the letter. I told the Republican party and Michael Steele that no political parties will get a dime from me until they start working and putting the needs of the country first and putting the party 2nd. Until we as Americans stand up to the 2 parties in politics our country we be worse off. 

I encourage you all to write a quick letter, or email your local political party or elected politicians and tell them to get there act together for the sake of our country. Until we start tellling our politicians how we feel about their greed and corruptness we will be taken advantage of.

Stand up, and let your voice be heard. I felt so much better after writing even a quick 5 minute note.
